POSITIVE DOG TRAINING

KIND, EFFECTIVE, FUN!

Tru Nature’s training classes and socialisation sessions currently take place in Sible Hedingham and include only kind and effective methods of education for dogs and their owners.  The classes are structured to be fun and enjoyable as well as educational.  All participants will be expected to practise training between sessions and worksheets will be available for those that would like them, detailing the training techniques used during each class, helping you to continue your good work at home.

TRAINING CLASSES

Tru Nature's Weekly Training Sessions Teach you as owners every aspect of how to teach and train your dog to behave the way you would like him to and to respond reliably to your requests.  The classes will take you from the very basic points of getting started right through to proofing established behaviours against distractions and improving reliability.  You will be able to take part no matter what your level of experience or training so far.

Aspects of how dogs think and learn are incorporated into the sessions to ensure owners receive a full understanding of 'the dog's perspective' this knowledge improves your relationship and enhances the effectiveness of your training.

Sessions are currently held on a Saturday afternoon 4pm - 5pm.  You are not required to attend a set course of dates, you are welcome to provide dates when you can attend and all the sessions will continuously cover different areas of training so a variety will always be incorporated into your training. Once you have provided your dates of attendance, these sessions will be booked for you and you must provide 48hrs notice of cancellation in order to be able to transfer your session to a later date.

NB: w.e.f. 25th October 2008 Training sessions times will change to 2.30pm - 3.30pm Saturday afternoons.

SOCIALISATION SESSIONS: Sessions available on Saturday Afternoons to provide owners with the environment  necessary to improve their dogs level of understanding and good behaviour and to practise getting your dogs to listen to you and respond reliably with the distraction of other dogs/people etc. 

I will be present at these sessions (probably with one of my gang) to offer advice and tips on your techniques, provide alternative approaches to training that may not currently be as effective as you would like it to be and generally have my brains picked!! There will be no structure to these sessions, the amount of training you get done will be up to you, I will be on hand to help!

These sessions are not run as a fixed course, you are welcome to attend on weeks that are convenient to you, but you must book in advance so numbers are kept in check. (maximum 8 dogs per session)

PRIVATE TRAINING PROGRAMME'S

Private Training Programme's are available for anyone wishing to proceed with their dog training on a private tuition basis or as subsequent sessions following a Behaviour Consultation. 

Private Training is highly effective and progress is often seen much quicker than in a class environment.  Problems are ironed out as we go along, I am free to answer all questions as they arise and many owners feel a great sense of achievement from these sessions.  This helps you as owners maintain motivation, secure in the knowledge that what you are doing is achieving visible results.

Tru Nature’s training includes only kind and effective methods of education for dogs and their owners.  The training is structured to be fun and enjoyable as well as educational.  All participants receive worksheets detailing the contents and training techniques used during each session, helping you to continue your good work on your own.
