Roger & Angela Newman with Skye & Ruby ~
Having had the privilege of owning a Airedale
Terrier, Skye, we then needed somebody brave enough
to train her, not an easy task (still not all the
way there yet) we tried the usual puppy class of ten
unlucky dogs all trying to learn in 10 minute slots
and decided on a more intense style of training, in
came Michelle, after a few weeks of one to one
training we had made a big difference to Skye's
behaviour and had more control over her, thank you
Michelle.
When
we got our second dog, Chocolate Labrador, Ruby, we
used the methods Michelle had shown us with Skye
from an early age with Ruby and she has made a
tremendous improvement from day one, we took her to
Michelle's open classes on Saturday afternoons, and
she was a little star amongst some of the other
older dogs there and we were able to cement our
training with further advice and encouragement, now
we can tell her to sit in an open field and she will
stay there until we call her from any distance
(still unable to do that with Skye) it just goes to
prove if you are taught the proper skills needed to
own a dog from a very early age anything is
possible.
We
can not praise Michelle highly enough for her
efforts and wished we had meet her first when Skye
was a little pup and not wasted time and money with
the other puppy class.

Debbie Richardson, Jess & Bobby ~
I
had a dog reactive rescue German Shepherd and quite a
few trainers had tried (unsuccessfully) to help with
this behaviour problem. I only wish I had come across
Michelle earlier as she is the only one who made any
improvement, but most importantly did this in a way
which made sense to Jess and strengthened the bond
between us. A sympathetic and humane approach to dog
training and highly recommended.

Robert Otis & Milo ~
Michelle has been
great for me and my Dobie Milo. From 12 weeks of age she
helped us through puppy class and is continuing to help
with our growth and bonding. She offers lots of
different services which I have used and benefited from.

Linda Daws & Chloe ~ Chloe has never
really been a problem dog but we needed to brush up on
the reliability of her responses as she didn't always
respond as quickly as we would've liked.
Michelle's classes were very effective and great fun, we
learnt a lot about Chloe and her perspective of the
world, which helped us to communicate with her in a way
that made sense to her, this meant we achieved what we
wanted and so did she. Now that we understand more
about how a dog thinks and what our actions mean to
Chloe, we are able to handle all situations better and
with successful outcomes. Michelle was patient,
helpful and very good at explaining to us what dog's are
all about!! |

Jayne Boulton & Willow, Dorothy
& Riley ~ Just a quick note to thank you for
your excellent work on my three hounds! My
daughter took all three to Coggeshall Fair with her
friends on Saturday and was very impressed with their
behaviour all round. Their responses are brilliant
now and many of my commands are done without the
expected treat. Your help was invaluable and your
patience was excellent, especially with Dorothy and her
sits and lays. She does it automatically now and
does not give me that odd look when being asked!
Willow loves the praise when she has been a good girl
and Riley has not been off in the rape seed after hares
and when he does smell them he returns on command.
Thank you and hope to see you soon. |

Jo Deason & Mojo ~
Having previously had a dog that spent more of his time
running away from me than running towards me I wanted to
get things right when I got a tiny new Mojo.
Michelle came to the house and helped give me ideas and
encouragement that made training Mojo fun for us both.
When she got a little bigger going along to the
socialisation sessions really helped her get confident
around other dogs, as she was so small the chance for
her to interact with other dogs when she was young
enough not to get stressed by it all was great.
When we moved up to the proper classes it was a great
opportunity to try out the techniques with the added
distraction of other dogs and has meant that Mojo is
much more reliable in real life situations. I
would have to say that the most helpful aspect however
is that Michelle is always there with help or advice
even after classes. |

Regina Stevens & Dottie ~
We found the classes friendly, relaxed and very,
very helpful. Our young terrier, Dottie, is a much
more attentive and obedient dog since attending.
We are much happier and more informed dog owners.
Thank you for all you taught us Michelle. |
|
Rona Hopkinson & Margot ~
Michelle's practical and positive approach is
easy to learn and incorporate into your routine.
My dog's behaviour continues to improve. I feel
increasingly confident in my handling skills and my
dog's willingness to respond to me. |
Some of
the things people say about Tru Nature's Safety Around Dog's
Workshops
|
C A Lee -
Felsted Preparatory School ~ "We will definitely ask you to
return to speak again. Excellent. All the Children
were engaged throughout. Good timing, very interesting,
well illustrated and visual for the children. The
information received was very important especially in view of
recent sad occurrences." |
|
Mrs L Thompson - Lawford Primary School
~
"Absolutely fantastic for the age of our
children. The workshops were informative, pitched at the
right level and interactive, involving all. Good materials
used, the children loved using the dog to approach (Boris!)" |
|
Mrs Pritchard - Lyons Hall Community
Primary School ~ "The presentation was good and
the children enjoyed it. It made not only them think about
how to behave around dogs but also the adults too. You had
a lovely way with the children, keeping them interested.
Interaction with the children joining in was great."
